Polianthes tuberosa, the flowers are fragrant at night
Polyanthes tuberosa clump grows to the height of about 0.5 - 1.5 m. Cognate stems growing from one or several bulbs parent and child a few bulbs. This is a pseudo-stem tubers as well as food storage. Polyanthes tuberous bulbs are also used for vegetative propagation of plants.
Polianthes tuberosa long leaf-shaped flat shiny green on the upper surface and light green on the underside of leaves. At the base of the leaf spots are reddish color. The leaves can be up to 60 cm long.
Flower stalk appears at the end of the elongated plant and jointed. In each segment appear petal-shaped flat aft with a smaller size than usual leaves. In the flower stalk is attached to 5-12 flowers (sometimes more) with a crown of white flowers and a little redness at the tip.
Blossoming Polianthes tuberosa not simultaneously but sequentially. Flowers will bloom bottom first and then bud flower buds on it sequentially.
